You are the entrepreneur of your own company and you have a group of employees that work their hardest to bring you and your company nothing but the best, but you’re not quite sure how to thank them.
1. Take them out to lunch. There is nothing like getting together after the first part of your shift and indulging in your favorite foods. Pick your favorite restaurant or your employee’s favorite restaurant, and treat them to lunch. Employees love nothing more than to feel important after all the hard work they have put into themselves and your company.
2. Pick a special day to treat them to breakfast. There isn’t always time to eat when you’re on your way to work. Putting bagels or even fruit out for the employees shows that you care.
3. If your employee has gone above and beyond of what is expected of him or her, try the “employee of the month” tradition. This may encourage your employees to work their hardest to earn the title the next month. Competing is always fun and is encouraging. 4. Create a rewards program for your employees. If your employee has show good team work, or if they have gone above and beyond for a customer, award them with rewards points. For however many the employee receives it can count for something. 5. Believe it or not, dressing casual is always a reward. Employees do get tired of dressing up for work every day, so why not give them a break and let them wear their favorite pair of jeans.
6. Like lunch, surprise your employees with a random dinner after a hard day of work. This is your time to ask your employees if they feel like any changes should be made to the company in their opinion.
7. Add an extra fifteen minutes to your employee’s lunch break. Sometimes thirty minutes isn’t enough.
8. Have a random raffle of all of your employees. Your workers are already exhausted from countless hours at the office, so try raffling off things like spa gift baskets. This is a great way for your employees to relax while away from work.
9. It doesn’t always have to be a special occasion to have a party. To show your appreciation, try having an office party. This is a chance for your employees to loosen up, mingle with one another and give each other tips on how to better their work ethic.
10. Around the holidays is also a time to say thank you. During Thanksgiving and Christmas try having a corporate get together. You can cater or do it pot luck style and have everyone show off their favorite dish. Have your employees participate in a grab bag and exchange gifts.
